I don't know weather to open a s corp or llc?

i live in ny with all the info i have read I'm confused as all hey in regards to the aspect of taxes, i know they are both p through but in the end which will be better for me, i will be the only one involved in the biz i definitely need good protection for the biz i will start, the annual taxes is whats bogin my brain any CPA out there please set me straight thanks
