What is the end goal of Christianity?

Okay so your goal is to be with God when you die...but what does this mean? You see yourself as separate from God and you want to be with him? You see God as a being you want to be with....do you mean you want to be ONE with God like Jesus was one with God? What is the purpose? I see that the end result that you want is to just live in love and peace with God, you don't know exactly what that entails but you do know that it is blissful peace and love, yet it seems you get so hung up about religious dogma handed down over the centuries and you do quite the opposite, you are not a peacemaker but a warmaker and condemn those whose political ideologies and religious affiliation do not align with yours perfectly. What do you believe being with God means as a Christian? this is the end result you are hoping for...please explain to me
