This issue is ridiculous.... we need to just use the popular vote system. MORE people voted for Al Gore back in 2000 yet he lost due to the electoral votes. Why Are Americans So Stupid?

I think when people say that they often mean ignorant or a narrow world view. There are people in all countries who don't have a broad world view or aren't particularly concerned with current events other than things that will affect their daily lives. I think the difference with America is that it's so exposed to the rest of the world, mainly through media, so we get to see people from all different backgrounds and places. Americans are generally seen as quite bold and outspoken. So it's probably a combo of those things. I've met a lot of smart knowledgeable Americans and I do get what you mean, just giving my view as someone from overseas.

To be honest with you, you really didn't have much of a committed relationship at only 4 months and texting, in my opinion, is no grounds to continue or maintain a relationship. Going off to college is a whole different game/life style and the beginning of a new and potentially exciting chapter in ones life and people/kids are more likely to change/grow faster due to all of the new experiences and people. Staying at home/home town and going to college is different but nearly as exciting and different as going away. Truthfully you should try and distance yourself from this guy and focus on your studies and perhaps meet a local boy. By hanging onto this guy you are only setting yourself up for even more heartache and slowing down the start of your new college life.

The pacifier or thumb sucking is a form of comfort to an infant. If they are feeling loved and secured they may never need it. Hold them closely, but I don't condone picking them up all the time. It is healthy for them to cry also. it helps to develop the lungs. It all depends on the child. they know how to soothe themselves when needed.

This is awful I am sorry to hear what he has done. Im 14 and well i want a baby i know its a stupid idea but?

I understand what your going through. I think you have things planned out really well yet maybe you should wait just a few more years. I know you may want a baby right now but you would be giving up the rest of your childhood. If you don't mind giving it up and are willing to take full responsebility for your child than sure, go for it. Although you have to think of what a burrden this will be for your dad because eventually there may be a night where your too tired to get up to feed your crying kid and leave it to your dad. As for your money situation, while having a baby you won't have time to paint and make clocks. Having a child is very expensive now of days which again will be another burrden for your dad trying to support another child. Just think of all the pros and cons before you decide to have your kid and make sure that this is the right move for you. Hope things go well for you! =)

You could have a fast metabolism so what my opinion is is that you see a nutritionist to have a eating plan or whatever.. Or you can have a plan where you eat more than 3000 calories a day. Which is quite a lot.

Like my mom was scared i was anorexic because i only ate 1 meal a day and i have athletics every school day and i would never eat at school so she made me eat more. So i began to work out so i don't gain weight and this is with athletics. I wake up and do 50 situps and 250 on my elipticle machine and then 50 lunges 50 push ups and 100 waist things and 100 jumping jacks. Also if i wake up in the middle of the night cuz im hungry i'll do 500 crunches..,50 waist things...,50 lunges and 100 waist things that help your waist get smaller. I am 130 pounds and 5"8 and a size 2 or 3. I'm in modeling. School also makes me feel really self concious because guys always make fun of me. Idk what's wrong with me but it's getting me worried. I'm thinking about not eating tomorrow because (i think) i'm gaining weight. I also take diet pills but only 2 a day. Not like 6..like over-weight ppl take. I am a guy and had my eyebrows over waxed. There is now a large gap between my eyebrows and I am trying to let them grow back but I keep getting tons of ingrown hairs which need to be plucked. Where do I work out?

Ok im starting to work out,im not fat,people (especially guys say I have an amazing body and they think I work out but im not the type to do any physical exercise other than walking my dog and ).But everytime I go to the gym I always have guys starring at me while im working out,seriously I dont feel comfortable and there is not many girls in the gym its mainly guys.I also started running in the mornings around the neighborhood but I dont know if im too paranoid or if cars really follow me,this one time I was running on the edge of the road and this car was on the side going like 10 miles an hour,I tried not looking at the car just minding my own business but I knew they were starring as I was running,so instead of running 2 laps I just did 1 and turned home,the car followed me until I went to my house.Geez I dont know maybe I dress too ual or something.I usually wear a nike sports bra,no shirts just the bra and some tight shorts and my tennis and a headband to prevent that much sweating.Is that ok or is it too revealing?????? Had a staph infection causing the nodes under my left arm to swell up 3 months ago,now i have one on my left?

dr thought it was a spider bite on elbow, treated me with antibiotics, it just got worse. 3 weeks later i am at the surgeon's office being admitted to the hospital to remove abcess from under left arm-the infection moved up to my arm. it was a severe case of staph. a week after my 10 day stay on antibiotics at the hospital, per same dr, my leftside of my face hurt, he said it was swollen lymph nodes in my neck on left side. i have been on antiobiotics for 3 months literally. now today i discovered a swollen node on the right side under my arm. i was wondering why my right arm hurt so much. what could be causing my lymph nodes to swell. could it be staph infection again or an underlining problem no one seems to be looking at?

try to find a better TE. RB's and QB's are the name of the fantasy game. Always play your best most productive players week in and week out. I always put a RB at flex unless that week a WR is way better than my choice of RB at flex. RB's consistantly get more points than WR's that's why. Have Favre as your Starter and don't pull him out except on a bye week. Run it like a real team.

Urgent i cut my finger, i need advice, preferably if your a doc. or nurse?

i cut my finger with a pocket knife when working. the blade wasn't dirty. the wound is about 1/2 in. long and an a little less than an eight of a inch deep. I cut it with the jagged part of the blade. It took about a minute or two to stop bleeding. I went through a couple of 4x4 in. sterile pads. I put iodine on it after it stopped bleeding then i wiped the excess off, put on neosporin, pushed both sides of the skin together and bandaged it tightly. I put on a bandage again cause i forgot neosporin the first time and it wasn't bleeding. I can still feel things with the finger. I don't know if i absolutely need stitches, i don't want to spend money at the doc. It does not hurt now. And the cut is between my nail and my first large knuckle and is at a angle slightly wrapping around my finger. Advice is all I need, thank you for your time.

Let me explain my current situation, yes I'm aware 3 billion others are in far worse(poverty). I just need some inspiration to help me keep the mentality i've built. Did i eat healthy?

It's pretty healthy, but you need to eat more. If you eat too little then your body goes into starvation mode and it can mess up your metabolism. Raisin bran is good (it has a lot of sugar because of the raisins not a bunch added sugar so its fine) try to add 1/2-1 banana on top for extra fruit and fiber for breakfast. Try and mix it up and have oatmeal with raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, and honey to sweeten it for a very healthy breakfast. Add a 1/2 a gfruit and (opt.) a gl of milk for a pretty balanced breakfast. Eggs, yogurt parfaits with berries and cereal or lowfat granola, smoothies, and whole grain toast are also good. Your lunch is seriously lacking. Try 1 or 2 more slices of turkey if they're thin and make it a sandwich by adding some whole grain bread and veggies. The carrots(try a side salad sometime too) and crackers are okay but try to add some calcium with milk, yogurt, or a cheesestick or slice on the sandwich. The dinner is also lacking. The tuna and bread are good but you need more veggies. Add a side salad, lettuce to your sandwich, steamed broccoli or something else, etc. The dessert is fine and some others ideas are sugar free jello and pudding cups, lowfat ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and fruit. Another suggestion would be to add in 1-2 snacks. For example between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. Some good ideas are fruit, veggies, cheesestick, yogurt, peanut er on an apple, banana, celery, or a piece of whole grain bread, small bowl of cereal, air popped popcorn or smart pop, granola bar, and raw nuts and dried fruit. Okay, i'll tell ya'll everything. My mother died over 20 years ago. She admitted she was horrible & she blamed needing to work for the reason she was such a nasty bidch. l Ultrasound after I said no 2 it?

I never even heard of a l ultrasound b4 but when I told her I didn't want it, she did it anyway, I was afraid 2 move bec being on a narrow bed, I didn't want 2 fall off but I said no. She stuck it in anyway. I even begged her 2 take it out, she ignored me. Well, when she was done, she doctor came in & told me that I had a blighted ovum. I didn't start bleeding until afterwords. But the point is, I said no. There was no blood drawn or anything else other than a urine test and checking my weight but they went straight 4 the l ultrasound.The reason she did it was 2 see how far along I was. It is unfortunate that people are in that situation. What's more unfortunate is poverty seems to perpetuate itself. We can offer programs and soup kitchens and shelters but that's as far as we can go. People have to want to change. It's really sad to see families with children that are destitute. Children are the true victims in this situation because a child is not able to take care of itself. Continue to be charitable and maybe things will turn around for some of these people.

I've never said "I love you" to someone I've dated...I've actually said "I don't love you" to most and continued to date them after. I am currently being "intimate" with someone I'm in a "relationship" with without having anything remotely resembling love. "I love you" is a heavy statement..because secretly we all believe it is the greatest feeling in the world to love and be loved back. We yearn for it. I hate some co workers in my department. Lately, I have been ill and the bouts come and go which has caused me to miss alot of work. It seemed every other week I would have to take off a day or two. This is not intentional I have been going through something and am being tested for various diseases (Lyme's, lupus, etc). There is a woman (Jan) whom I work with who has some health issues also. I would say a good portion of the anger is coming from her. She talks about me to my co workers. *Jan* has even said to me "Give me a little bit of arthritic pain and joint pain anyday instead of what I have. I can use heating pads with some Naporyxn and go to work however I would not want to deal with the kind of pain I go through or even spine pain like *daisy* goes through." Daisy is my other co worker who spine gets out of whack because of her years of competing on a professional level in gymnastics and fitness. Previously, I was working steadily and did not have these health issues. I feel really bullied from these two women and I have actually spoke to God and told Him I hate them. So my question is how do I let go of my hate I feel toward these two women?

Thanksgiving Dinner Emergency!!! HELP!!?

First off, Happy Thanksgiving! And second, what you could try and do, and I know it's far from tradition, but being an emergency and all.......head to the nearest grocery store, a big chain one preferably (just to make sure), and get some turkey. I'm not talking about lunchmeat turkey. Most stores sell a slab of turkey . Check with the deli too. Or better yet, just get another turkey that's not frozen. Hopefully everything will work out! Best of all, if you end up with too much turkey, you can make turkey stew, sandwiches, anything! Out of the leftovers!

I mean I don't want to come off as someone who has lost value in the human spirit, and potential..but seeing as to all that exists..we really honestly don't matter in the grand scope of the universe. For instance, if the Earth that we hold so dear, was to vanish, due to solar radiation, global warming, asteroids, you name it; nothing in the universe would change, nor would "the universe" even care. If we were gone, the universe would still go about its business and that's that. What I'm trying to say is..is any of this worth it? Are the accomplishments of the greatest people in civilization say, Alexander the Great or Cyrus II of Persia mean anything?? Does EARTH and US mean anything?? To me somehow, none of this matters...what's your take on it?
